Submit changes to an existing costume

by craigpay » Wed Nov 15, 2017 12:58 pm

Hi there, I've made faster progress on a new belt and pouches for my cleared Jedi costume. How do I submit changes please?

Just add the images to my costume over on the US forums?

Hi Craig,

Nice to see you're improving on your costume, ive found recently that due to the amount of costumes currently being submitted its not necessarily a quick progress.
If David is happy with the belt etc then i'd say dont worry about submitting.
If you were replacing your tunic and tabs etc then yes submitting would be required.

hope that helps

Brilliant. And if the Westhoughton troop goes ahead next week we're trooping together so he can have a look firsthand! Cheers!

From what I can see in the photos, it looks good, and I like the pouch! Only thing at the moment is that you need to either move or replace the rear keeper/clasp so that both ends (and preferably the stitching) of the narrow belt are covered - it needs to look like a continuous piece.

That keeper is badly positioned in the photo but I'm still not sure it's wide enough so I'll knock up another one that's a bit bigger. I have plenty of spare leather and snaps kicking about. Good practice and I can always stash the keeper for another belt where the narrow ends are closer together.

So I didn't change the keeper after all, I had enough length in the narrow belt doubled-over at the front to simply move it...

Hi again. I have new boots! I wasn't planning on replacing my current boots so quickly but I saw these and couldn't resist! They're size 8 ladies but I saw several comments on Amazon about them being too big so I grabbed a pair and they fit my size 9 feet perfectly. In fact they're rather large, I had to wear two pairs of socks trooping over the weekend at Bowlers with the 99th. Just £65 and they arrived in two days. The colour match with my belt is uncannily perfect. One of the photos shows one of my current Jedi boots next to my replacement boots for a size / colour comparison.

Minor mods: I've added leather patches over the branding. I'd like approval for an upgrade please...

Becka asked me at Bowlers where I bought these so I figured other people would be interested as well...

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B ... UTF8&psc=1

But lots of other websites selling them. Search for: 'Rhinegold Elite Colorado Long Leather Country Riding Boot'

The maximum size for these appears to be size 8 for ladies. Size 10 men's feet might be OK but a squeeze. I saw a couple of websites selling a men's version which go up to a larger size but they're shorter, wider in the calf.
